Heather and David are man and wife and formed Designer in 1996 when 5 piece band Monopoly split.
Between them they have a wealth of musical experience, and over the years have performed at many different type locations throughout the UK. They have had the pleasure of performing with a variety of aristes some famous and some not so famous.
Heather and David work very hard at producing the show, and their hard work and commitment is rewarding them with a reputation of being one of the most popular and entertaining duos on the circuit today.
They only use professionally made backing tracks, have an excellent professional top of the range Martin Blackline front of house PA system, QSC and EV amplification, a comprehensive and impressive fully computerised lighting rig, and professional accessories such as Shure and Beyerdynamic michrophones.
Although all of the backing tracks are professionally produced and feature live session musicians, and even though Heather and David continue to perform some guitar and keyboard work live on stage. they have worked very hard on the production of some of the backing tracks adding various backing vocals, guitar, keyboard and percussion fills.
There are plans to hopefully reintroduce other instruments at some point in the future, the likes, drums and percussion.
2 x 45's - 3 x 30's, or a mixture, it doesn't really matter, Designer are totally flexible.
The act is commercial and the show is entertaining, and to add to the professionalism of the show ,each spot performed utilises custom made play ons and play off's.
Heather and David can perform a vast repertoire of songs and a variety of music styles, including current chart hits, old favourites from the 50's, 60's and 70's, a mixture of classics and Disco hits from the 80's and 90's., some good old soul, and sometimes even a touch of line dancing and a few Popular (but not often heard)Irish jiggs.
The repertoire performed would normally include a selection of current chart and dance hits, as well as popular hits by artistes such as ABBA, Robbie Williams, Sugababes, Cher, Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue, Andy Williams, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Madness, Barbara Striesland, S Club 7, Girls Aloud, Glady's Knight and The Pips, Fontella Bass, Van Morrison, The Foundations, The Bay City Rollers, Lionel Richie, Barry White, The Scissor Sisters, Infernal, The Sweet, Meatloaf, Take That, Rihanna, The Drifters, etc., There are also sometimes one or two a little different thrown in-the likes of; Shamrock, Bacarra, La Belle Epoque, The Bluebells, The Wool packers, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show .
Party nights, the festive season and New Year celebrations are catered for accordingly - and would of course include party songs, cheesy songs, christmas songs, sing a long songs and so on...
Heather and David can comfortably entertain in Social and Working Men's Clubs, Pubs, Theme Bars, Hotels, Restaurants, Cabaret Restaurants, Entertainment Bars, Bingo Halls, Holiday Camp Clubs, weddings, parties etc.
